| First time running with the team since I got my boot off! also the first time I actually felt like a team captain too. Dr said I shouldn't exceed 3 miles for atleast another week so im hoping that I can bump my minutes up because i ran more when I was a beginner than rn. I felt super good and nothing was hurting just a little soreness and tightness. Super dope weather today. So happy to be running with my girls and team again.

| Connor Baller came to practice today... Not the best surprise. "Easy" 35min barefoot run with striders but I only did 4 of them and I still went a couple miles more than I'm allowed to but I felt so good. We also had kids club today and it was pretty stressful today. There's always this really loud and sort of annoying girl in mine and alli's group so Alli made her plank for 1min & the poor girl is only 8😂

| I got home late last night which wasn't the best idea because I didn't really get to rest. Ran 10min with the girls and 10 back alone. Coach said I can probably start running longer by next week and slowly ease in to where I left off so I'm excited. legs very sore and tired. I got the team into a stretching circle and we talked about some good goals and stuff for this season. Oh and Connor actually said bye to me today 😂

I had to go with my mom to her dr's appointment this morning so I couldn't go to practice. When I got back a grabbed spike and drove out to Leeds, took a left on exit 22 and found a dope trail. I did 15 min of my tempo on the flat area but I found a bigger trail and started to go up a giant steep hill and i just keeped going until I was at the top. My legs were super dead so I just chilled up there and enjoyed the most beautiful view ever with spike and he managed to sniff out a geocaching box. I was like above quail lake and could see sand hollow in the distance if anyone knows where I was because I dont know if that trail has a name.The way down super gnarly and I made it down in half the time as the way up so I added on. Felt pretty good. Achilles is still buggin.

Had practice at heritage park. Felt pretty dang good but there were tons of hills so my achilles were on fire! We were approaching a huge hill and decided not to go up it so we went a different way. Initially I was just gonna do 40 min with addi and Alli and we thought if we did a loop it'd be just enough time. We got lost for a little bit but it was still really fun. I fell back on like two hills which honestly isn't that bad. So far it's been the longest run since getting my boot off and I feel really good about it. :)

Went out to tortoise. For some reason I felt really exhausted. It might just be all of us because we all did 50 and 60 was the highest. Running in sand is not very fun but it was a good run anyway. On our way to the dirt mile my legs were already weak but when we got there my legs just loosened up. This is the first time I'd done a workout since I got my boot off so coach told me to go 10-15min. Started at 20min. Felt really good and I'm super happy about how it went. I was gonna stop at 10 but I was able to push a little more. All of us did gr8.

Weights were more productive than Tuesday + more ppl. Alli and me pr'd our bench. I did 70lbs and she did 60lbs. Then we played with a giant rubber band for a while. The run was a little rough. Everyone's legs are wrecked and it was 106 degrees. It was worth it because El Sucio gave us otter pops.

Alli took (like 9 of us+spike) to the little black mountain trail. It was extremely hot but that was expected since we ran at 9. Within 5 minutes, spike had already managed to trip Carli & get injured. Surprisingly, it wasn't Ellie who fell this time haha.We ran all the way to the petroglyphs and took a small break to look at them and the ran back & commenced our SBR. Spike stopped under a creosote bush mid run so we drove over to pick him up and it was hilarious.

Also, heather went missing all of a sudden and just reappeared all of a sudden. I love a good over cast so this run was pretty good and the longest run Ive done so far (this season).

Ran my warm up with alli and also raced with with her. It was so hard for me to push myself so i just chilled. I thought i heard alli behind me so i awkwardly did pur little hand signal that means to speed up but it wasnt her😅. I passed a little dude and then alli came out of no where and beat me but she did super good so i honestly couldn't have cared less.
Afterwards, i took alli and rylee boating with me and we tubed for a bit then tried to wakeboard and it was freaking hard but we all did pretty decent. I think we're gonna be sore for a while lol.

Tempo before the race felt pretty good. During the race i had actually forgotten that we even did a tempo. Started off pretty good and about half a mile in I was going to lead then decided not too which was the absolute worst decision because I immediately fell off after that. I did awful and theres really no sugar coating it😅. I wasnt able to clear my head at all. I think the lehi jersey is bad luck for me lol. And to top it all off the pain in my foot is back. I was able to take stuff from this so it wasnt all that bad.

Decided to blog again since i dont have witness's in South Carolina 😂 We arrived @ our hotel at like 6pm ,drove around, ate, and came back at like 9pm so i couldnt go out to run (which sucks cuz i really want to experience the humidity and low elevation ) so i made myself run on the treadmill which was kinda hellish but i got to watch tv while running so thats dope.
